Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) summoned numerous ministers to the Presidential Palace on Thursday to discuss several issues, according to Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.

Pramono explained that the storage time at ports and food price stability were the two key areas of concern for the president.

"The president is more concerned about the storage time at ports, which is expected to be three to four days in October," Pramono affirmed.

He added that the second issue to be discussed was related to the shortage of beef, which indicated that stocks were being manipulated behind the scenes. He did not wish to speculate any further on the matter.

The ministers being summoned to the Presidential Palace were Agriculture Minister Amran Sulaiman, Trade Minister Thomas Lembong, TNI Chief General Gatot Nurmantyo, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Luhut Pandjaitan, and National Police Chief General Badrodin Haiti, among others.(*)
