Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The selection team assembled for shortlisting leadership candidates for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will submit eight names to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on August 31 as scheduled, a spokesman has stated.

The selection team had interviewed 19 candidates from August 24 to 26, the Chairperson of the selection team of the KPK leadership, Destry Damayanti, said on Wednesday.

"We will stick to the schedule and will submit eight names to the President on August 31 as promised," Damayanti pointed out.

According to her, the selection team had formulated the results of interviews and medical tests of 19 candidates by assessing fives aspects consisting of moral integrity, competence, leadership, independence and work experience.

"We are waiting for the results of the medical tests, which are expected on the afternoon of August 28," she added.

In addition to evaluating the results of interviews and medical tests, the selection team will also make use of information gathered by the KPK, Police, Attorneys, the Financial Transactions Analysis and Reporting Center (PPATK), National Intelligence Agency (BIN) and the Civil Society Coalition, she remarked.(*)
