Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia will reveal a special mission during the climate change conference to be held in November-December 2015 in Paris, France, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated.

Cabinet Secretary Pramono Agung noted after a meeting with several officials led by the president on Monday that the meeting was held to discuss the preparations for the climate change conference scheduled to be held in Paris.

"The event is an important forum for the world. The president wants Indonesia, as an archipelagic country in Southeast Asia, to deliver some documents. We do not just follow the will of the world," he remarked.

This mission is being strengthened and discussed by several experts and relevant ministries.

On the same occasion, the Environment and Forestry Ministry has prepared a document to be submitted during the global climate change conference in Paris.

Environment and Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya Bakar affirmed that the document has been discussed by the relevant stakeholders and compiled through a lengthy trial process.

"Once reported, we will upload the document soon. We will wait for inputs for two weeks," Nurbaya pointed out.

Six governors from Aceh, Papua, West Papua, Central Kalimantan, and South Sumatra, among others, will participate in the global climate change conference.

The meeting was also attended by Chairperson of the Steering Committee on Climate Change Sarwono Kusumaatmadja and the presidents special envoy on climate change, Rachmat Witoelar.
