Doha (ANTARA News) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) departed for Jakarta from Doha at 9 a.m. local time to conclude his trip to the three Middle East countries of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.

During his five-day trip to the Middle East countries that commenced on Friday, the Indonesian head of state held a series of meetings with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.

Speaking to newsmen in Doha before leaving for Jakarta, Jokowi stated that the warm welcome received during his visit to the Middle East showcases the clear intent of the countries in the region to increase cooperation with Indonesia.

The head of state and his entourage are scheduled to arrive in Jakarta at 11 p.m. local time on Tuesday after a stopover in Banda Aceh, Aceh province.

During his trip to the Middle East, President Jokowi was accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Economy Darmin Nasution, Trade Minister Thomas Lembong, National Development Planning Minister/National Development Planning Board (Bappenas) Chief Sofjan Djalil, Foreign Affairs Minister Retno P. Marsudi, and presidential special envoy of the Middle East Alwi Shihab.
