Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) arrived back to Jakarta on Sunday night after paying a visit in Malaysia to attend the ASEAN Summit and other meetings.

The President and entourage, including First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo arrived at the Halim Perdanakusuma Military Airport in East Jakarta at 10.40 p.m. by Presidential Plane RI-1.

The head of state was in Malaysia for a two-day visit.

On the second day of the visit on Sunday, he held talks with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

He also attended the ASEAN-New Zealand 40th Anniversary Commemorative Summit at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC).

President Jokowi, along with other nine ASEAN leaders also signed the Declaration on the establishment of the ASEAN Community and the Kuala Lumpur Declaration for ASEAN 2025.

The other summits attended by the President included the 10th East Asia Summit, the 18th ASEAN-Japan Summit, the 17th ASEAN-South Korea Summits, and the 7th ASEAN-UN Summit.

During the visit, President Jokowi was accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Resources Rizal Ramli, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi and Chief of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Franky Sibarani.(*)
