Mataram, W Nusa Tenggara (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian police in West Nusa Tenggara Province has received a list of Australian nationals convicted of serious crimes, including child sexual abuse, from the Australian Federal Police (AFP) representative in Bali.

The blacklist was submitted by the AFP representative named Keaton Martino to West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Police Chief Brig. Gen. Umar Septono here on Wednesday.

According to the West Nusa Tenggara police spokesman Tribudi Pangastuti, the AFP is focusing on three serious crimes --- human trafficking, terrorism, and child sexual abuse --- involving Australians.

Besides submitting the blacklist, Martinos visit was also aimed at monitoring and obtaining data on Australians working or taking holidays in West Nusa Tenggara, the neighboring province of the famous Bali Island, he remarked.

The AFP representative in Bali and the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Police also made a strong commitment to ensure swift coordination if Australians were found to be involved in crimes, he added.(*)
