Bandung, W Java (ANTARA News) - Regional Director of Market Development of Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council Mohd Zulhery Fahmy said that around 550,000 of Indonesian citizens go to Malaysia for medical treatment every year.

"About 550,000 of Indonesian people visit Malaysia on average every year for medical treatment. Perhaps 80 percent of them are treated on cardiac disease," Mohd Zulhery Fahmy said here on Tuesday.

In addition to the cardiac disease treatment, he said, patients from Indonesia go to Malaysia to examine general check ups, cancer disease, including aesthetic surgery.

"We offer the best services. The close distance between Indonesia and Malaysia, and there is no language barrier have made many of Indonesian citizens choose Malaysia as destination for medical treatment," Mohd Zulhery Fahmy added.(*)
