Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has arrested four Musi Banyuasin legislators on charge of 2015 regional revised draft budget.

The suspects, district legislative assembly speaker identified by their initials RI from the PAN faction, three deputy speakers DAH from the PDIP faction, IH from the Golkar faction and AF from the Gerindra faction were to be held in detention for at least 20 days, KPK spokesperson Yuyuk Andriati said here on Tuesday.

The four are charged with accepting bribe and facing jail term of up to 20 years with a fine of up to Rp1 billion if found guilty.

Acting chairman of KPK Johan Budi said they were sent to detention cells after being interrogated by the KPK investigators.

Johan Budi said KPK also summoned two other suspects, Regent PA and his wife L, who is also a member of the South Sumatra legislative body, but failed to appear.

Their investigation has to be rescheduled, he said.(*)
