Sukoharjo, Central Java (ANTARA News) - The anti-terror unit Densus 88 of the police arrested Abu Karim, a suspected terrorist, from the home of Pardi Cito Wiyono in the village of Bulu, Sukoharjo, Central Java, on Saturday.

Densus 88 personnel, assisted by the Sukoharjo police resort chief, Adjunct Senior Commissioner Andy Rifai and his men, also searched Abu Karims rented house in Sepat helmet in Bulu village where they discovered two PVC pipe pieces, a power bank, two Nokia cellphones, two Samsung hand phones and a green wire.

Other items recovered from there included books about jihad, a bomb making manual, a book about intelligence, a Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangeran and Bekasi) map, a banking account book, a passport carrying the name of Yudha Saputra, nails, pellets, thinner, carbide, paraffin, flash disk, switching, a laptop, a dagger, six bags of soft gun gas and a soft gun card box.

According to the police, Abu Karim is a villager from Plumbon, Suruh sub-district, Semarang.

When asked to confirm the arrest, Adjunct Senior Commissioner Andy Rifai did so but declined to elaborate further.

"What he (Abu Karim) is involved in, Densus 88 knows better," he said.

Sunarjo, a local resident, said some police personnel were seen arresting a person who had rented a house belonging to Pardi Cipto Wiyono in Sepat helmet in the village of Bulu, on Saturday morning.

He did not know the persons profession but said he was a newcomer in the village.(*)
