Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA News) - An Australian citizen, Joshua Ronald Terellick, will be deported to his country after serving two months and 15 days jail sentence following his conviction in a case related to a road accident that claimed the lives of a Balinese citizen.

Putu Agus Ardiana (22), a resident of Banjar Cica Abianbase village in Badung District, was killed in the accident, Joshuas lawyer Erwin Siregar said here on Tuesday, adding that Joshua was released after his detention period ended.

The accident happened in July 2015.

"Joshua was released because he had undergone two months and 15 days of prison sentence," Siregar stated.

Meanwhile, Joshua expressed his happiness at having been released.

"I am happy to be free today, and after I arrive in Australia, I will first meet my family and my friends," he said.(*)
