Makassar, S Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - Rescue workers discovered 13 more bodies of passengers of sunken MV Marina Baru 2B on Wednesday night.

All the bodies had been taken to the National Search and Rescue Board (Basarnas) command post, spokesman for the South and West Sulawesi Provincial Police Senior Commissioner Frans Burung Mangera said.

The Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team of the provincial police is trying to identify the 13 bodies, he said.

By Wednesday, 55 passengers have been killed in the mishap.

MV Marina carrying 94 adult and 12 child passengers lost contact last Saturday after being hit by waves while on its way from Kolaka Utara district in Southeast Sulawesi to Bansalae in South Sulawesi. (*)
