Honolulu (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) made a stopover at Honolulu International Airport on Thursday en route to Indonesia following a working visit to the United States.

President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana arrived in Honolulu at 11.45 p.m. local time. The temperature in Honolulu was 20 to 27 degrees Celcius when the Indonesian leader arrived.

Indonesian consul general in Los Angeles Umar Hadi was present to greet the President and First Lady when they arrived in Honolulu.

After making a stopover in Honolulu for nearly two hours for refueling, the presidential plane, Republik Indonesia-1, continued on to Jakarta.

Before flying to Jakarta, the president will make a second stopover at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. The flight time is seven hours and 50 minutes from Honolulu to Guam.

Because of time difference between the two destinations, the president will arrive in Guam on Friday, nearly one day later.

President Jokowi and his entourage left San Francisco for Jakarta on Wednesday, at the end of his visit to the US for the US-ASEAN Summit.

He departed the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco at 7 p.m. local time on Wednesday for the San Francisco International Airport.

At the airport, President Jokowi was seen off by Indonesian Ambassador to the US Budi Bowoleksono and his wife Reshanty Bowoleksono, Indonesian Consul General to San Francisco Ardi Hermawan and his wife Yulina Ardi Hermawan, and Vice Marshal Fajar Sumarijadji, the defense attache of the Indonesian Embassy in Washington DC.
