Yogyakarta (ANTARA News) - The Department of Industry, Trade and Agricultural Cooperatives in Yogyakarta will soon launch fish eating campaigns, especially salt water fish, according to its spokesman Benny Nurhantoro.

"The salt water fish eating campaigns will be launched early April this year because the level of fish consumption in the city of Yogyakarta is still low," Nurhantoro remarked here Saturday.

It will involve a variety of culinary and hospitality employers as well as a number of institutions in the city government of Yogyakarta to enliven the campaign activities for the marine fish meal, according to him.

Early campaign activity will take place at Yogyakarta City Hall complex to give an example to the public that the local government is really committed to increasing the consumption of fish, he said.

"Later, culinary and hotel entrepreneurs will be required to cook the fish of the sea, and they will be challenged to make a dish that is tasty as well as show that marine fish was not fishy," he said.

Types of fish that will be cooked in the campaign will be dominated by tuna fish.(*)
