Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA News) - The Ngurah Rai airport management company PT Angkasa Pura-I is designing the use of solar cell at the Angkasa Pura office.

"The use of solar cell at Ngurah Rai airport has not been implemented but it is now under discussion, and may be used first at Angkasa Pura office," PT Angkasa Pura I General Manager Trikora Harjo remarked here on Tuesday.

He said Angkasa Pura has discussed the matter with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

"We are cooperating with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and are discussing the use of solar cell at the airport," Harjo said.

He expressed hope that with the use of solar cell, airport operational costs of Rp154 million per day in terms of electricity will be reduced.
