Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), on Tuesday, paid his last tribute to the victims of the military Bell 412 EP Helicopter, which crashed in Poso, Central Sulawesi, on Sunday.

The president and several ministers offered their last respects to the victims of the ill-fated helicopter at the Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.

At least 13 military officers were killed when their helicopter crashed in the district of Poso, Central Sulawesi, on Sunday.

The victims were Central Sulawesi Tadulako 132 Military Resort Command (Korem) chief Col Saiful Anwar, Palu Military Police Command (POM) commander Lt Col Teddy S. Prapat, National Intelligence Agency (BIN) officer Col Ontang, Military Intelligence Division (BAIS) officer Col Heri Setiaji, Korem 132 information chief Maj. Faqih Rasyid, chief of the health division at the 1307 Poso Military District Command (Kodim) Capt. Yanto, and assistant of the Korem 132 commander Second Pvt. Kiki.

Others who died were six Army aviators: Capt. Agung, First Lt Wirahadi, Second Lt Tito, First Sgt Bagus, Second Sgt Karmin, and First Pvt. Bangkit.

Earlier on Monday, President Jokowi offered his condolences to the kin of all victims aboard the ill-fated helicopter.

"I offer my deep condolences to the bereaved family members of the victims," President Jokowi stated while opening a limited meeting on money laundering at the presidential office.

The president also prayed for the souls of the soldiers who died in the military helicopter crash.(*)
