Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named a member of the Jakarta legislative assembly a suspect in a graft case on Friday.

Chairman of the Gerindra faction at the Jakarta legislative assembly MS was charged with accepting bribe in the debate over the reclamation of the Jakarta Bay.

MS received bribe money twice from president director of PT Agung Podomoro Land AW who also has been named a suspect.

MS was caught red handed receiving the bribe money, KPK chairman Agus Rahardjo told reporters here on Friday.

KPK confiscated Rp1.14 billion in the caught red handed operation, Agus said.

It was the second bribe Sanusi received after one amounting to Rp1 billion he received on March 28, 2016, he said.

The whereabouts of AW, however, is not yet known, he said, adding, "we hope he would be cooperative."

KPK has asked the immigration office to ban him from leaving the country.

Another suspect in the case is TP a personal assistant at PT Agung Podomoro Land.(*)
