Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) expressed readiness to face a lawsuit to be filed by the residents of Luar Batang, Penjaringan Sub-district, North Jakarta, concerning his administrations policy to relocate them.

"In fact, I want them to file a lawsuit, and then I will counter their charges. This is good," Ahok stated here, Tuesday.

On April 11, the Jakarta authorities relocated the inhabitants of Pasar Ikan in Luar Batang to Marunda and Rawa Bebek low-cost rental apartments.

Some 4,218 military, police, and civil security personnel were deployed to help guard the relocation process, which was resisted by several local residents.(*)
