Let us go hand in hand and reform the management of Indonesian football."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian football association (PSSI) is confident about moving forward in restoring national football after the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) lifted the suspension on Indonesia from international soccer competitions.

"Let us make what had occurred a priceless lesson, and ensure it never happens again," Deputy Chairperson of PSSI Hinca Pandjaitan said here Saturday on PSSIs official website.

FIFA, during the 66th FIFA Congress in Mexico City Friday, lifted the suspension on the PSSI from international soccer competitions.

FIFA had banned the association in May last year after a long dispute between the government and the PSSI over which teams should be entered into the top domestic league.

The government suspended the PSSI after they ignored requests to ban two teams whose owners failed to meet their new governance regulations.

FIFAs decision on lifting the suspension was taken after the government Tuesday (May 10) lifted a decree that suspended the PSSI.

"Let us go hand in hand and reform the management of Indonesian football. Thank you for the support from all parties that we may continue our work to restore the national team and make it possible for the children of Indonesia to play football again," Pandjaitan said.
