Seoul, S. Korea (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) held close-door business meetings with the executive officers of two South Korean leading companies --- Lotte Group and Posco --- to discuss potential areas to enhance cooperation.

The Lotte Group management arrived at the Berkeley Suite room at about 10:30 a.m. local time to meet President Jokowi, ANTARA reported from Seoul, South Korea, on Monday.

Economic Minister Darmin Nasution, Trade Minister Thomas Lembong, Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi, and Head of the Investment Coordinating Board Franky Sibarani were among the Indonesian officials accompanying the president during the meeting.

Meanwhile, the executive officers of Lotte Group were Chairman of the Lotte Group Shin Dong-bin, President of Lotte Chemical Huh Soo Young, President of Lotte Group Hwang Kag-gyu, President of Lotte Mart Kim Jong-in, President of Lotte Engineering and Construction Kim Chee Hyun, and Executive Director of Lotte Group Lim Byung-yun.

Meanwhile, the executive officers of Posco arrived at the Berkeley Suite room at about 11 a.m. local time and were welcomed by President Jokowi.

Poscos executive officers attending the meeting were Executive Director Kwon Ohjoon, President Kim Jin-il, Executive Vice President Kwak Jung-shik, Senior Vice President Lim Seung-kyu, and President of Posco Indonesia Jhi-yong Kim.

After the close-door meetings with the two major South Korean companies, Jokowi will attend a business luncheon with 20 other South Korean businessmen.

President Jokowi is also scheduled to meet President Park Geun-hye on Monday afternoon at the Cheong Wa Dae Palace or the Blue House.

President Jokowi is on a state visit to South Korea on May 15-18 and will continue the official trip to Sochi, Russia, to attend the ASEAN-Russia Summit on May 19-20, 2016.(*)
