Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The BCA Indonesia Open Super Series Premier 2016 ended on Sunday with its champion titles being won by players from five countries - Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, China and South Korea.

In the last match, Taiwanese Tai Tzu Ying defeated Chinese Wang Yihan 21-17, 21-18 to win the champion title of the womens singles event at Senayan stadium here on Sunday.

"I am glad I could win the game. It is unbelievable I played against Wang Yihan and won," Tzu Ying said after the match.

She said Wang Yihan had to play in a rubber game in the semifinal round and so she must have been exhausted and so could play maximally that day.

She said she would later participate in the Australia Open and Taiwan Open. "I will train with a spirit before the match," she said.

Japanese pair Ayaka Takahashi/Misaki Matsutomo won a champion title after beating Chinese pair Tang Yuanting/Yu Yang 21-15, 8-21,21-15 in the womens doubles event.

Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia meanwhile emerged as the champion in the mens singles after defeating Jan O Jorgensen from Denmark 17-=21,21-19, 21-17.

Chinese mixed doubles players Xu Chen/Ma Jin retained their champion title in the mixed doubles after overpowering Ko Sung Hyun/Kim Ha Na from South Korea 21=15, 16-21, 21-13.

Lee Yong Dae/Yoo Yeong Song from South Korea won their second champion title after defeating Chinese pair Chai Biao/Hong Wei 13-21, 21-13, 21-16.(*)
