Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Terminal 3 Ultimate of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang awaits final commissioning by Garuda Indonesia and operational clearance from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Transportation Ministry, according to PT Angkasa Pura II.

Head of Corporate Secretary & Legal Angkasa Pura II Agus Haryadi confirmed in Jakarta, Wednesday, that once the commissioning and operational clearance results were published, the related information would be disseminated.

"Hence, from June 20, Garuda Indonesia will be able to officially operate from Terminal 3 Ultimate," he stated.

Agus noted that the Terminal 3 Ultimate will become operational before Eid this year.

"Therefore, Garuda Indonesias customers can enjoy the journey to their hometowns by using the new technologically advanced terminal," he explained.

Meanwhile, apart from Garuda Indonesia, other airlines will continue to operate from their original terminals.

"For the last few days, information has been circulating on social media platforms regarding the move to shift the operations of other airlines apart from Garuda Indonesia to the new terminal. Rest assured, we will always be the first to release any information if changes occur," he reiterated.

For this reason, Agus has suggested that all passengers should obtain accurate information before taking a flight by directly contacting the airline or Angkasa Pura IIs contact center at 1500-138.

"Angkasa Pura II will always offer the best possible service to the people," he emphasized.

According to a document titled "Minutes of Discussion Meeting for Preparatory Transfer of Operational Flight," the flight operations of Garuda Indonesia, both domestic and international, will be moved from Terminal 2E and F to Terminal 3 Ultimate on June 15.

Domestic and international flights from AirAsia will move from the existing Terminal 3 to Terminal 2E and 2F on the same date.

Furthermore, Sriwijaya and NAM Air are set to move from Terminal 1B to Terminal 2F on June 22. Lion Airs flights to Denpasar, Jogjakarta, Semarang, and Solo will move from the existing Terminal 3 to Terminal 3 Ultimate, starting January 2017. Lastly, flight operations of Citilink and Batik Air will also be moved from Terminal 1C to Terminal 2D and E, starting January next year.
