Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Danish Agriculture and Food Council is eager to enhance agribusiness cooperation with Indonesia, particularly in the area of dairy products.

The council expressed the wish to cooperate with Indonesia during talks with Indonesian Ambassador to Denmark Muhammad Ibnu Said, the Indonesian Embassy in Kopenhagen said in a press statement made available to ANTARA News on Saturday (June 11).

Said stated that the two countries need to follow up on the Memorandum of Understanding signed by their governments in April 2016 to enhance cooperation in the agribusiness sector.

The Indonesian ambassador, accompanied by an official of the embassys economic wing, paid a visit to Arla Slagelse Mejeri milk processing center, the largest cooperative-based company for dairy products in Denmark.

The visit arranged by the DFAC is aimed at introducing major dairy products, besides providing the public with latest information.

Established in the 1880s, Arla food company has developed into a dairy product company which holds 80 percent share of export market in Denmark.

The company has so far exported its products to many countries, including those in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
