On the occasion, the head of state appealed to the leaders of state institutions to strengthen cooperation in developing the nation and state.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) broke his fast along with leaders of state institutions at the State Palace here on Tuesday.

Before the fast-breaking session began, President Jokowi was accompanied by Vice President Jusuf Kalla as he chatted with the leaders of state institutions.

Among the leaders of state institutions present at the function were the Chairman of the Peoples Consultative Assembly (MPR) Zulkifli Hasan, Chairman of the House of Representatives (DPR) Ade Komaruddin, Chairman of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) Irman Gusman, Supreme Court Justice Hatta Ali, Chairman of the Constitutional Court Arief Hidayat, and Chairman of the Judicial Commission Aidul Fitriciada Azhari.

The Chairman of the State Audit Board (BPK) Harry Azhar Aziz was not present.

The leaders of state institutions were accompanied by their wives, who were seated at the same table as First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo.

Deputy leaders of the state institutions also attended the event.

On the occasion, the head of state appealed to the leaders of state institutions to strengthen cooperation in developing the nation and state.

"Lets call our heart, lets strengthen our solidity and lets forge cooperation to develop our nation and state," he said.

He went on to say that Indonesia must be optimistic about winning the ever increasing fiercer competition in the global market.

"We must build connectivity from Sabang to Merauke. Lets scrap bureaucratic constraints. We must improve the quality of all human resources," he stated. (*)
