Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The state must not lose the fight against terrorism, Chairman of the Peoples Consultative Assembly (MPR) Zulkifli Hasan stated here on Wednesday.

"In view of this, the government and the people must unite to eradicate the perpetrators of terrorism, who have violated human rights," he noted.

The MPR chairman expressed belief that the terrorists would not win against truth and goodness.

"The bombing incidents in Solo (Central Java) and around Medina recently demonstrated that terrorists shun religion," he pointed out.

Zulkifli hoped that the revision of the current anti-terrorism law will be completed this year.

"The faster it is completed, the better it will be. It will be completed in the session period this year," he stated.

A suicide bombing occurred at a police station in Solo, Central Java, on Tuesday morning (July 5).

A motorcyclist entered the station at around 7:30 a.m. local time and blew himself up when an on-duty officer stopped him. The perpetrator was killed in the incident, while the officer was wounded.

The police are still investigating the incident to uncover the network or group responsible for the incident.
