Gorontalo (ANTARA News) - An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter Scale hit Gorontalo District in Gorontalo Province on Friday at 3:29 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (GMT+7).

Meteorology expert of Gorontalos Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Agency Fathuri stated on Friday that the epicenter of the earthquake was located at 0.04 degrees Southern Latitude and 123.48 degrees Eastern Longitude, or 80 kilometers southwest of Gorontalo at a depth of 127 kilometers.

The earthquake did not have the potential to trigger a tsunami.(*)
