Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Attorney Generals Office has named 10 new suspects in a case of alleged abuse of self-managed activity fund at the East Jakarta water management public works office during the 2013-2014 budget year.

"In total, 13 people have been named suspects so far in the corruption case," spokesman for the Attorney Generals Office, M Rum, said here on Friday.

Among them were three people identified by their initials as SMT, HD and JW, from whom the Attorney Generals Office seized Rp1.9 billion.

The self-managed activity fund amounting to Rp92,271,189,692 was derived from the city budget and the revised city budget.

Among the other 10 suspects who were identified by their initials were ZMS (former chief of water management of Ciracas sub-district), W (chief of river and coastal area planning section), IS (former chief of water management section at Cipayung sub-district office, SS (former section chief of the Jatinegara sub-district), and S (former section chief of Matraman sub-district).

Also among the ten were HT (chief of conservation section at the East Jakarta water management office), Z (former chief of water management section at Makassar sub-district, and AD (former chief of general affairs section at the East Jakarta water management office).

M Rum informed that the Attorney Generals Office will soon investigate the 10 suspects.
