Beijing, China, (ANTARA News) - The leaders of G20 member countries are committed to fighting terrorism in all its shapes and forms.

The leaders are also determined to improve the state of the world economy through comprehensive policies to usher in an innovative, renewed, interconnected, and inclusive global economic environment.

An official communication document received by Antara in Beijing, Tuesday, affirmed the commitment to fighting all forms of terrorism and uprooting terrorist sources.

The leaders of G20 member countries continue to assert their solidarity in fighting terrorism across the globe.

"We will take care of all sources, techniques, and funding channels for terrorism, including tax extortions, smuggling of natural resources, bank pillaging, stealing of cultural wealth, external donations, and abductions for ransom," according to the document.

In facing terrorism, all member countries are committed to effectively exchanging information, freezing the assets of terrorists, and criminalizing all terrorist activities.

The G20 has urged all parties to soon realize the general implementation of the Financial Action Task Force standard effectively along with the UN Security Council Resolution 2553 globally.

"We urge the task force to carry out the Consolidated Strategy on Combating Terrorist Financing in a more tangible and concrete manner for more effective operational plans," the communiques further stated.

The surge in acts of terrorism across different parts of the world some time ago was one of the topics of discussion at the summit between the leaders of G20 member countries in Hangzhou, Zheijang Province, China, on September 4-5.

At the 11th G20 summit that was closed on Monday night, it was revealed that the increase in the frequency of terrorist attacks has become a threat to the global economy.
