The exhibition, is participated in by around 118 BUMNs and BUMDs, will last until September 11 this year in the Jakarta Convention Center.
BUMN Minister Rini Soemarno and leaders of the companies and investors attended the opening ceremony.
The annual even is organized by four BUMNs - the National Publishing and News Corporation LKBN Antara, PT Balai Pustaka, Perum PNRI and Perum PFN.
Committee Chairman IBDExpo 2016 Hempi N Prajudi said BUMN as an economic growth drivers have important role in imp[roving the welfare of the people through development of infrastructure all over the country.
"Amid tight global economic competition, BUMNs have to be highly competitive," Hempi said.
Hempi, a director of commercial business and technology of Perum LKBN Antara , said in IBDExpo 2016 , BUMNs and BUMDs would display products, offer business opportunities in various sectors including finance, agriculture, energy, mining, tourism transport logistics and mass media.
The committee also will also organize international conference with speakers from Singapore and Chinese state companies; minister lecture by BUMN Minister Rini Soemarno, business meeting and exhibition of career opportunities in BUMNs.
Minister Rini in her lecture would give guidelines for thousands of BUMN and BUMD leaders.
Among the products displayed at the exhibition include a replica of speed train to be built between Jakarta and Bandung, firearm products of PT Pindad, ship built by PT PAL and Anoa tank and flight simulator of aircraft maker PT Dirgantara Indonesia.
The exhibition , which will be open for the public would be highlighter with traditional arts and film produced by Perum PFN in mini movie.
