Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said he would evaluate all aviation schools after repeated accidents involving trainer planes.

"I have ordered the director general of air transportation to conduct a thorough evaluation soon," the minister said in a written statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The minister issued the statement following the crash of a trainer plane belonging to Perkasa Fight School on the rice fields in Cilacap District, West Java, on Thursday morning.

The Viper Warrior aircraft No. PK-BH was flying with two passengers, one a pilot instructor and the other a student. The two victims sustained light injuries and were given medical treatment at a hospital.

The Ministry of Transportation transferred the case to the National Committee for Transportation Safety (KNKT) to carry out an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.(*)
