Cirebon, West Java (ANTARA News) - Indonesias First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo bought Cirebon batik cloth for her husband, President Joko Widodo, during a visit to Cirebon, West Java.

"I bought a deer patterned batik for my husband," Iriana said while visiting Rumah Kerang Multi Dimensions in Cirebon, West Java, on Monday.

She made the buy at Toko Batik Ninik Ichsan while on her way to Cirebon along with an entourage of the wives of cabinet ministers who have joined the Work Cabinet Solidarity Action Era Organization (OASE) to review the IVA test and breast cancer detection program.

Iriana also bought many pieces of mega mendung batik cloth that had typical batik patterns of Cirebon. She sported a red colored mega mendung batik on the occasion.

It was around 11:45 pm that First Lady Iriana visited the Ninik Ichsan batik production house in Plered, Cirebon, and was instantly greeted by a member of the fifth generation of the production house, Ninik Masruni Masina.

The house is a home, a gallery and a place to make batik.

Iriana Joko Widodo also took time to greet the children around the house and gave away notebooks as a gift.(*)
