Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and National Awakening Party (PKB) Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar met at the Merdeka Palace on Tuesday to discuss various political issues, including the Election Bill before Parliament.

"There are three important issues we discussed, the Election Bill in Parliament, strengthening of the presidential government system, and political communication with parties supporting the government," President Jokowi said after the meeting, which started at 12.55 pm and ended at 2.10 pm.

On political communication, the president said he met frequently with political leaders, and will continue to increase the frequency of such meetings.

"Such meetings will be held as often as possible to discuss various issues," the president said.

The number of meetings may be increased from three to four times a week at present, Jokowi mentioned.(*)
