Better or worse?"
Washington (ANTARA News) - The Time magazine on Wednesday announced that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has been picked for its person of the year, a choice perhaps few will dispute.

"This is the 90th time we have named the person who had the greatest influence, for better or worse...so which is it this year: Better or worse?" the magazine said in the opening remarks of its featured story.

A Trump spokesperson said he is "thrilled and honored to recieve this distinction."

The cover of the magazine that featured the person of the year story showed a photograph of Trump at his penthouse in New York Citys Trump Tower.

Trump was shown turning his body to face the reader as he sat in an arm chair that faced away, the posture exposed half of his face to the light while the other half remained dark.

"Donald Trump, president of the Divided States of America" was written beside him.

Time magazine has been choosing person of the year since 1927.
