"My cabinet and I are putting in serious efforts to execute reforms and upgrade Indonesia`s economy," Jokowi noted.
New Delhi, India (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo discussed with 20 Indian CEOs a number of his policies and achievements during his two years of administration.

"After two years of hard work in implementing policies and reforms, our Gross Domestic Product is rebounding and growing more steadily," said the president during a conference call with the CEOs of world-renowned Indian corporations at The Leela Palace Hotel in New Delhi, India, Tuesday.

He also elaborated on the fact that investor sentiment has been growing more positively, so much so that he is confident the nations business community is becoming more productive, especially in the tourism, e-commerce, and manufacturing sectors.

"My cabinet and I are putting in serious efforts to execute reforms and upgrade Indonesias economy," he noted.

The president also explained the measures he has taken to start reforms in providing subsidies since the beginning of his term.

The Indonesian government has initiated a deregulation policy to ease clearance processes as well as business activities.

Indonesia is also exploring partnerships by entering the Free Trade Agreement with the European Union and Australia.

"This year, we have launched a tax amnesty program," he noted.

According to the Dutch Bank, he continued, the program has become the most successful tax amnesty program in the world.

The president attended the function with five of his delegates, the CEOs of Indonesian corporations: Abraham Mose from PT Pindad, Sudhamek AWS from Garuda Food, Erwin Aksa from Bosowa Group, Fuganto Widjaja from Sinar Mas Group, and Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce Rosan Roeslani, as well as his Vice Chairman Shinta Kamdani.

The president then invited the CEOs to explore business opportunities in Indonesia by offering them simple, easy processes.

"Let me know what my ministers and I can do to help you bring your business plans to life in Indonesia," he remarked.

Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution, Minister of State Secretariat Pratikno, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of Trade Enggartiasto Lukita, Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto, and Head of Indonesian Investment Service Agency Thomas Lembong could also be seen alongside the president and his CEO delegates during the event.(*)
