Kolaka, S.E. Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - The Kolaka District of Southeast Sulawesi Province has received a Human Rights Award from the Indonesian Law and Human Rights Ministry.

Spokesperson of the local government Amri Jalamluddin said the award was presented by the minister, Yasonna Laoly, to the head of Kolaka District, Ahmad Safei, last week in Jakarta.

"It was presented during the commemoration of human rights in Jakarta," he stated here on Friday.

Amri also explained that the award will motivate the authorities of the Kolaka district to realize and enforce human rights in Mekongga.

"This will be good motivation for all government districts," Amri remarked.

He also noted that upholding human rights is part of a local government program.(*)
