Jakarta (ANTARA News) - An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter Scale jolted Puncak District of Papua Province on Monday at 11:55:43 a.m. Western Indonesian Time.

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) revealed that the epicenter of the earthquake was located at 3.98 degrees Southern Latitude and 137.50 degrees Eastern Longitude, or 17 kilometers southwest of Puncak District, at a depth of 156 kilometers.

The BMKG stated that the earthquake had no potential to trigger a tsunami.
