The festival was held at the Palais des Congres, last weekend.

"In addition to performing the dances, we also featured Indonesian cuisines, such as meatball soup, fried foods, lumpia (thin rice or wheat flour wrapper filled with a mixture of meat and vegetables), martabak (a stuffed fried flatbread), mud cake, boiled corn, nuts, bananas, and sweet potatoes," the embassys first secretary of the Public Diplomacy, Press, and Cultural Affairs, Hanung Nugraha, informed ANTARA News on Tuesday.

The four-day festival, held by the Association Rabat Sale Memoire, comprised the Rabat and Sale city tour, peoples stage and art performances, cultural discussion, and photo exhibition.

Held annually, the festival aims to preserve and introduce cultural arts and historical sites in the cities of Rabat and Sale to todays generation of Moroccans.

Indonesias participation in the festival is expected to continue in the coming years, taking into account the enthusiasm shown by the audiences and visitors to witness Indonesian cultural performances and sample the countrys typical culinary delicacies.

"We will continue to feature Indonesian arts and culinary delicacies at cultural events in Morocco to offer a better understanding of Indonesia to the Moroccan people and hopefully to also increase the number of Moroccan tourists visiting our country," Nugraha added.
