Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Adara Relief International, an Indonesian social institution that cares for Palestinian children and women, launched a movement called "Coin for Palestinians Smile."

"We want to build public awareness, especially among Muslims, that coins can be meaningful for our brothers in Palestine," Adara Relief Internationals Chairperson Nurjanah Hulwani said here on Friday.

According to her, donating does not need a lot of money, even coins can contribute to Palestine.

This movement aims to attract more people who care about the Palestinians.

Nurjanah said the Palestinian issue is the concern of Muslims all over the world, including in Indonesia.

The coin-collecting movement is not just to invite people to massively donate with coins, but they can also be an agent for disseminating news and development about Palestinian lives.

At the launch of the "Coin for Palestinians Smile" movement, a number of aid programs were introduced, such as education, health and safety assistance for Palestinian children.

"For educational assistance programs, for example, out of 1,000 school-age Palestinian children, we try to facilitate some children to receive educational funds of Rp8 million per child per year," she said.

Adara Relief International will continue to engage Muslims and the people of Indonesia in general to help the Palestinians struggle in achieving their independence from Israel Zionist occupation.

"Hopefully, the Coin for Palestinians Smile' movement gets a positive response from the people of Indonesia, and those who join in this movement always get the blessing as the tagline of the program is With Coin We Get Blessing," Nurjanah said.(*)
