Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesias under-22 soccer team (Timnas U-22) crushed the squads of Cambodia 2-0 at the FIFA international friendly match, which was held in Phnom Penh on Thursday.

The two goals were scored by Irfan Bachdim at the 26nd minute and by Gian Zola at the 94th minute, according to website of the All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) monitored here.

Indonesias team, among others, got a golden opportunity at the 12th minute through the center forward, Manewar Marinus.

A loose ball at the penalty box of Cambodia was successfully passed into the empty net, but Cambodias defender Nub Tola managed to sweep off the field exactly on the edge of the goal.

Indonesias first goal came when the attack was launched to the right side of Cambodian defense at the 26th minute. Irfan Bachdim, who operated on the left wing, managed to grab the ball and kicked it into the goal. Cambodias team failed to retaliate.

Meanwhile, chief coach of Indonesias Timnas U-22, Luis Milla, prepared 22 players to play against the squads of Cambodia and Puerto Rico.

After playing against Cambodia, the Timnas U-22 will play against Puerto Ricos squad on Tuesday (June 13) at the Maguwoharjo stadium in Sleman, Yogyakarta.

Five senior players, namely Stefano Lilipaly, Irfan Bachdim, Kurnia Meiga, Fachruddin, and Bayu Pradana, will strengthen the Timnas U-22 at the international friendly matches against Cambodia and Puerto Rico's squad on Tuesday (June 13) at the Maguwoharjo stadium in Sleman, Yogyakarta.(*)
