Jayapura, Papua (ANTARA News) - A Pilatus aircraft belonging to the AMA Air company reportedly went missing during a flight from Wamena to Derakma, Papua Province, on Wednesday afternoon.

Head of the Jayawijaya Resort Police Senior Commissioner Adjunct Yan Reba stated here on Wednesday that the Pilatus aircraft had departed at 11 a.m. eastern Indonesian time.

The aircraft was manned by Pilot Moulder Wauters and Co-pilot Wido Naibaho.

Three passengers -- Don, Serabut, and Ondomget -- had boarded the aircraft.

The aircraft, bearing registration code PK-RCX, was also carrying 508 kilograms of goods.

Reba said the aircraft was scheduled to arrive in Derakma at 11:25 a.m. eastern Indonesian time.

The police have reported bad weather in Nduga District and the Jayawijaya Mountain on Wednesday afternoon.

Reba added that the normal travel time from Wamena to Derakma was less than an hour.

The police are coordinating with the local people in Mugi District to search for the missing aircraft.
