Samarinda, E Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - The East Kalimantan provincial administration is facilitating investors to do business through the Ease of Direct Investment Construction (KLIK) program.

"With KLIK, investors can directly start construction while taking care of further permits," Head of East Kalimantans Integrated Services and One Stop Service Office, Diddy Rusdiansyah, noted here on Wednesday.

KLIK is a central government program, through the Investment Coordinating Board, which is aimed at building synergy between the central and local agencies on licensing prior to starting the construction process.

KLIK is implemented in East Kalimantan for investors keen on developing business in integrated economic development and industrial areas, such as in the Kariangau Industrial Area in Balikpapan City, measuring 133.8 hectares, and Buluminung Industrial Zone in North Penajam Paser District, spanning 2,721 hectares.

The industrial areas are for processing coal, oil and gas, palm oil, rubber, food, fishery, and coffee, as well as the furniture industry.

With KLIK, Rusdiansyah noted that investors can directly start their projects after obtaining an investment or principal license either from the center or local administration.

The permits, such as building permit, environmental permit, and environmental impact management analysis, can be obtained in parallel.(*)
