Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) rode a bicycle from the Merdeka Palace to the Park & Ride course on Thamrin street to distribute 7,486 land certificates to the communities of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) on Sunday morning.

On the occasion President Jokowi said there are 126 million land certificates that should have been handed to the communities, but until the end of 2016, only 46 million were distributed.

"That means there are still remaining 80 million land certificates that the government has to distribute," the president said.

Hence, President Jokowi said he had ordered the minister of Agrarian and Spatial / Head of National Land Agency to complete 5 million certificates across the country.

"This year, 5 million certificates must be completed in Indonesia, next year 7 million certificates must be issued, and the next, 9 million certificates must be issued," he said.(*)
