Development program to be discussed in National Summit

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian development program in the next five years will be discussed in the National Summit from October 20-31, 2009, Coordinating Minister for Economy Hatta Radjasa said here on Saturday.
"Today three coordinating ministers and the National Summit committee hold a preparatory meeting to discuss the summit," Radjasa said at the Vice Presidential Palace.
Radjasa said each coordinating ministers would put forward various problems and challenges related development program that have to be solved.
According to him, the problems and challenges related to development program in the fields of economy, poverty eradication, and national defense in the next five years would be discussed in the National Summit.
"In the National Summit, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono would be the key speakers on Indonesian National Development in the Next Five Years," Radjasa said.
He said the National Summit would be held at Bidakara building from October 29-31, and participated in by all regional heads across the country.
Present at the preparatory meeting at the Vice Presidential Palace on Saturday were Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto,
Coordinating Minister for Economy Hatta Radjasa, Coordinating Minister for People`s Welfare Agung Laksono, State Minister for National Development Planning Board/National Development Planning Board Chairman Armida Alisyabana, and Presidential Unit for the Management of Reform Programs (UKP3R) Chairman Kuntoro.
"The National Summit will be attended by all regional and central government leaders to formulate together 2009-2014 working program," Radjasa said.(*)Editor: Aditia Maruli
