State budget 2009 funds expected to be absorbed 92-95 pct

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The rate at which fund allocations from the 2009 State Budget are to be absorbed is expected to reach 92-95 percent, a senior finance ministry official said.
"We expect the absorption rate to have reached 92-95 percent by December," Director General for Budgetary Affairs of the Finance Ministry Anny Ratnawati said here on Monday.
She made the remark at a working meeting held to work out the government`s National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) and a Strategic Development Plan of the National Development Planning Ministry/National Development Planning Board (Bappenas).
Anny said the absorption of the budget in 2009 was expected to be better than that in 2008.
"God willing, the absorption this year will be higher than last year. With regard to the
realization until today, I don`t have the data about it," she said.
About the absorption of the 2009 fiscal stimuli, Anny said that the stimulus program
had been implemented, including in the regions.
"We heard based on a Bappenas survey, about 90 percent have been absorbed," the director general said.
In the meantime, Syahrial Loetan of Bappenas said that the RPJMN 2009-2014 documents would be made in three books.
Book One will contain action plans on development priority in the coming five years. Book Two will contain activity priorities on every development field and book Three will cover the direction of regional development.
Basically, the macro-economic description in the 2010-2014 period is that the economy is expected to experience an average growth of 6.3 to 6.8 percent per annum on condition that in 2013 and 2014 respectively reached 7 percent.
With such a growth, it is expected that unemployment could be reduced to five to six percent in 2014 while the inflation rate at a range between 4 and 6 percent per annum.(*)Editor: Aditia Maruli
