Jakarta (ANTARA News/Asia Pulse) - National flag carrier PT Garuda Indonesia is make an Initial Public Offering (IPO) on 40 per cent of its equity in the first half of 2010, the company`s chief said.

"(Garuda Indonesia ) is now in the process of preparing to make an IPO, including the appointment of an underwriter," Garuda President Director Emirsyah Satar here on Monday.

Satar made the statement after the inauguration of Garuda`s two new airplanes, Airbus 330-200 and Boeing 737-800 Next Generation types, at Soekarno Hatta international airport.

He said that the IPO was part of a series of the company`s corporate restructuring efforts made to increase its performance. Satar said the IPO was expected to yield a fund of US$300 million.
