Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will install five deputy ministers at 9 am on Wednesday to support his cabinet, minister/state secretary Sudi Silalahi said here on Tuesday.
He said all the candidates had already signed an integrity pact and a performance contract at the president's private house in Cikeas, Bogor, that day."I just came from Cikeas and had been ordered to announce the names of the candidates," he said.
The five candidates who are to be installed as deputy ministers are Dr Bayu Krisnamurti as deputy minister of agriculture, Dr Hermanto Dardak as deputy minister of public works, Dr Bambang Susantono as deputy minister of transportation, Dr Alex Retra Ubun as deputy minister of industry and Dr Mahendra Siregar as deputy minister of trade.Sudi said the new chief of the Capital Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Gita Wirjawan, is also scheduled to be inaugurated on Wednesday.
Sudi said this would be the first batch of deputy ministers to be inaugurated as six more still had yet to be sworn in soon."Totally there may be 11 deputy ministers including the ones announced today," he said.
Regarding the persons to be installed as the president's special staff and cabinet secretary Sudi said it was still being processed and hopefully would be finished soon."The names of the special staff would be announced soon but due to a new nomenclature it would take some time. We hope it will not be too long," he said.(*)
