Cikeas, Bogor (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is concerned about a book written by George Aditjondro and published recently, one of his spokesmen, Julian Aldrin, said here on Saturday.
However, Julian said, the head of state had not ordered the withdrawal of the book from circulation.
"The President is very concerned about the circulation of the book," he said.
George Aditjondro has written a book titled "Uncovering the Cikeas Octopus: Behind the Century Scandal".
"We are still studying the content of the whole book," Julian said.
He said the President was still studying the content of the book and had so far made no statement about it yet.
"So far he has not (yet made any statement). No directives or instructions have come from him to withdraw the book from circulation," he said.
When asked if some parts in the book had made him worried, Julian said no but indeed it had made him concerned.
"The book mentions several things related to four foundations under the President`s control namely the Puri Cikeas Foundation, the Solidarity and Care Foundation, the SBY Nurussalam Prayers Council Foundation and the Mutumanikan Nusantara Foundaion. The book mentions facts which seem to be incorrect, not true. This is what the President is concerned about," he said.
Julian said until now no plan had been made for the President to seek legal settlement over the problem.
"As the book has been released and circulated among the public, its accountability would be its authenticiy and validity of its data and also the methodology used by George Aditjondro for making the conclusion written in the book," he said.(*)
