Federal Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs, Shaukat Tarin, said the strategic alliance between PRI and PIA would help the government achieve its goal of formalising the remittance market in the country.
Remittances continued to show a rising trend as US$$3,832.64 million was received in first five months (July- November) of fiscal 2009-10, increasing US$866.13 million or 29.20 per cent over same period of last fiscal year.
