Taipei (ANTARA News/Asia Pulse) - Six emerging industries that the government has been vigorously promoting are set to create some 450,000 new jobs over the next two years, Taiwan's top economic planning agency said Thursday.

Officials of the Council of Economic Planning and Development (CEPD) said the six emerging industrial sectors, which include the green energy, tourism, biotechnology and electric vehicle sectors, have been listed for priority development for 2010, as part of efforts to rev up employment.
