Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The government is preparing a legal umbrella for setting up a hospital supervisory agency as stipulated by Law No 44 of 2009 on hospitals.

"The draft government regulation is being prepared," Minister of Health Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih said in Jakarta Monday.

The agency, she added will supervise the operation of both government and private hospitals.

"Actually, supervision had already been conducted, but not of all hospitals yet," she
said.

In the meantime, Secretary General of the Ministry of Health Rosita Hendarji said members of the supervisory board will come from various circles such as from the government, the public and professional organizations.

"It will also provide inputs and suggestions to the Minister of Health for the hospital improvement," he said.(*)
