Jambi (ANTARA News) - Hundreds of food packages of the Yeo`s brand had been destroyed by the Jambi Drug and Food Control Agency (BPOM)at a local supermarket during a raid Monday.

The agreement on the registration of the products bearing the brand had been canceled by the government.

A total of 18 kinds of Yeo`s products had been banned from the market, including green tea, soyabean milk, lychee drinks, sugarcane drinks, and many other kinds of Yeo`s drinks.

BPOM has issued an instruction to all its branches throughout Indonesia to track down the production centers of the products. Any such products found in the process must be immediately destroyed.

Head the Jambi investigation agency Koeswanto said 18 different Yeo products had been imported by two different companies namely Anugerah Mandiri Lestari, Subang, West Java, and YHS Indonesia of Jakarta.(*)
